Babycare TENS Machines are specially designed to help combat labour pain during child birth. The Femme TENS is brand new to the range and offers the added benefit of adjustable pulse rate and pulse width as well as a removable booster button which will give you maximum flexibility and control throughout labour. Once the baby has been born simply remove the booster button and you can continue to use Femme TENS for other pain conditions. TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) works by sending soothing pulses across the surface of the skin and along the nerve fibres. The pulses prevent pain signals reaching the brain just like a gate not letting anything pass. They also stimulate your body to produce higher levels of its own natural painkillers.
